Treatment Preparedness Training -
July 21, 2008
Positive Voice successfully conducted the
Treatment Preparedness Training for MMT Clients on
July 1, 2008. The training was supported by the HIV
collaborative Fund- South Asia of Tides Foundation.
The intent of this training is to focuses on the
development of core lay competencies in health care,
emotional and social support to promote the self
reliance and well-being of those people who use
drugs and living with HIV/AIDS.

Treatment Advocacy Training- June 1,
2008
Positive Voice successfully conducted the
Treatment Advocacy Training for MMT Clients on June
1, 2008. The training was supported by the HIV
collaborative Fund- South Asia of Tides Foundation.
The Involvement of people who use Drugs in Nepal
has been minimal in every sector due to the existing
stigma and discrimination. Unorganized and the lack
to leadership has been a major cause for the lack of
involvement of those people who use drugs in various
levels that are made to address the Drugs and
HIV/AIDS issues in the society.
The intent of this training is to build a strong
leadership and development of spirit of advocacy
needed that can well organize the voices of
marginalized Drug user’s and bring the national
attention to the issues that they have been facing.

Treatment Literacy Training- March
28, 2008
Positive Voice successfully conducted the
Treatment Literacy Training for MMT Clients on March
28th 2008. The training was supported by the HIV
collaborative Fund- South Asia of Tides Foundation.
The intent of this training is to provide
information relating with treatment literacy and
treatment preparedness meanwhile addressing
adherence issues and linking them with ART sites
that are readily available.

PSB on Church – Feb 22, 2008
Positive Voice has successfully conducted the PSB
session at Assumption Church on Feb 22, 2008. The
intent of this Training is to provide a information
on Drugs and HIV and AIDS and also sensitize and
aware the religious leaders as well.

Blood Donation Program – Dec 22, 2007
Positive Voice together with the Hanuman Sewa
Samiti (religious leader group), Lagankhel has
successfully organized a blood Donation program in
association with Nepal Red Cross Society on 22nd

World AIDS Day –Dec 1, 2007
Positive Voice celebrates “20th World AIDS Day
007” event by organizing “Lok Dohari Musical
Awareness Program” in association with National
Center for AIDS and STI Control (NCASC) through
GFATM targeting especially the youth's population.
Like wise “Candle Light Celebration” was
organized in evening at Ashok Stupa, Lagankhel by
the PV’s members. The involvement of local people
enriched the atmosphere of the stupa and made the
ceremony more graceful. The dazzling lights and
enthusiasm of members lure many trespassers during
the ceremony.

CHBC Training- Nov 1-7, 2007
Positive Voice has successfully conducted the TOT
Community and Home Base care Training at Baglung
District with the generous support from National
Center for AIDS and STI Control (NCASC) /GFATM on
1-7 Nov, 2007. The intent of this training is to
provide CHBC workers, PLHA and people affected by
HIV with the essential skills and Knowledge they
will need in order to provide home-based care and
support services, and build the self-reliance and
self-care skills of PLHA and families. Routine
supervision and follow-up training in counseling,
symptom care, adherence support, children and HIV,
and other areas will be necessary to further develop
the specific skills required in CHBC.

Interaction Program on OST –
Oct 16,2007
Recovering Nepal (the
Network of people who use drugs in Nepal) has
organized a workshop in association with Positive
Voice with the generous support from UNODC at Yak
Palace, Pulchowk on 16th October, 2007. The main
objective of the workshop was to sensitize to those
people who use drugs on Oral Substitution Treatment
program.
